‘The duathlon was one of the best events I have ever had the pleasure of stewarding. The event ran smoothly , with the attention to detail making the kids feel like true sportsmen , in a safe and happy environment. But what was really unique about this event was the way all the kids taking part were able to feel included , while maintaining a competitive edge for those who wanted it but an equally important inclusion, for those who just wanted to take part. This is extremely rare and I hope that this type of activity will be repeated to encourage local children to take part in events , which too often they have to watch older people do with no facilities or encouragement to join in.”
